Help local Wheels For Wellbeing charity win a National Lottery Award

Wheels For Wellbeing is a local charity is a Brixton Road based charity that promotes and supports cycling for disabled people. About two years ago, it faced closure over lack of funding, but received a £330,000 funding from the National Lottery.

This enabled Wheels For Wellbeing to grow, so that it now has 100 specially designed bikes. Morethan 600 people from the local area, including many from Streatham, have benefited from the services it provides during weekly cycling sessions in the past year.

Two Olympians & Paralympians, Joanna Rowsell and Sarah Storey, is backing Wheels For Wellbeing to win an award from the National Lottery for Best Sports Project.

Wheels For Wellbeing has been shortlisted with two other sports charities for the award and a £2,000 cash prize.
